“We want to play like this every day and that’s maybe sometimes possible and sometimes a bit less. You have to be stable and the boys were always stable tonight and really fluent offensively.

“It’s good. It’s a very good example of how football should look and let’s try to do it again and again.”

With Roberto Firmino out injured, Klopp decided to have Mane lead Liverpool’s front line against Watford, with Origi lining up on the left-hand side.

Mane had two goals to his name after 20 minutes, scoring with a leaping header before audaciously backheeling beyond Ben Foster in the Watford goal.

“I didn’t see it [the backheel] yet,” Klopp said. “I love the first one as well, jumping so high.7

“In a new position, how he played is just exceptional. It was clear he would help us in this buildup situation because he’s this kind of footballer, but we needed him in the box as well.

“How Mo [Salah] played was unbelievable. He was pretty much not playable tonight. In a game without scoring, having this kind of performance was exceptional.

“Divock, defending for him is not natural on the wing. But he did it and offensively he was constantly a threat. He scored a fantastic goal. Both full-backs flying down the wing, [the] midfield was flexible, good passes, very aggressive and really involved.

“It was just an all-round top performance. I’m really happy with the boys that came on. It was really good and helped so much. All good and I think really deserved.”nike nfl jerseys wholesale cheap

The win saw right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold become the youngest ever player to assist three goals in a Premier League match.

The 20-year-old responded to his omission from the weekend’s draw at Manchester United by producing inviting deliveries that allowed Mane and Van Dijk to score.

“Trent was injured, played a game and then it was clear we have to make decision — can he play three games in a week?” Klopp added. “We were not sure. That’s why he didn’t play against United. That was the only reason.
